Lizards 2015

Lizards,like all reptiles are cold blooded and regulate their body temperature according to their surroundings. During the warmer part of the year and the warmer part of the day, they can be seen sunning themselves on rocks and other warm surfaces throughout the southwest. The old adage, "You can catch a bird by putting salt on its tail," likewise applies to lizards. And I have yet to hear of anyone successfully salting the tail of a lizard. Just when you think you are close enough to reach out and touch one, they dart off to safety quicker than you can blink an eye.
